Quiz for Teens

Are your parents giving you fits?

The ordinary, but difficult process of moving into adulthood often is a rocky time for relationships with parents. It also tends to be a time when you aren’t always sure of what you want, but very often it’s at odds with what your parents want for you.

These are exciting times that can be win-win situations for everyone.

At Soul Support Counseling we help you move out of stuck habits and roles, which are getting in the way of moving into “phase two” of your life.

Is there more and more pressure to give better and better performance?

Are you getting the message from parents, teachers or school counselors that colleges are so competitive even the best students can be passed up? Does it feel like your life will take a dramatic turn for the worse if you don’t get into that top-notch school?

Is worrying getting in the way of your being able to do your best and interfering with your happiness?

At Soul Support Counseling we help you learn supportive ways to channel energy from worry into action.

What to do?

If you find yourself answering "yes" to many of these questions, you may have some self-defeating behaviors and stress concerning your life. We can help you find support from your inner strengths –strengths that you may be unaware of.

Quiz for Adults

Do you find that even with the best of intentions, sometimes you “shoot yourself in the foot?”

At one time or another all of us do or say something that just make things harder for us, especially when we’re stressed. But if you notice yourself doing it often (or “every time I _______"), you may be repeating a self-defeating pattern of behavior that sabotages your best efforts.

At Soul Support Counseling we work with you to discover and change your self-defeating behavior into responses that support your life.

Does it sometimes seem that you have your own Personal Critic?

We all have a part of ourselves that observes us in action, rating our behavior, our feelings, and our thoughts. And everyone has times when that observing part of us gives us more “thumbs down” than “thumbs up.”

But if it seems that your “inner critic” holds you hostage with harsh criticism for the moves you make (or don’t make!), it may be time to get a second opinion from someone trained to spot the tell-tale signs.

At Soul Support Counseling we help you get a different perspective and transform the “harsh critic” into your mentoring critic. We work together as you grow your soul at your own pace, and in the process, you discover what gives you life and release your own power to “go for it.”

Are you enjoying your life less and complaining about it more?

Maybe you have even said something like:   “If I just weren’t so busy I wouldn’t be so cranky…”

Or possibly,                             “My life would be fine if I just had a different partner (or job, or house, or …).”

You may know it’s time to change the way you respond to what’s going on in your life; you may have an idea of what you need to do; and you may even want to do it; but you can’t seem to make the change. And sometimes you just don’t know what to do.

You need to find support so that you can make those tough choices.

At Soul Support Counseling we believe that everyone needs an ally to accompany them as they go through the process of change. That’s why we help you “grow your soul” so you can take the steps you want.
